Energy for Sustainable Development - Bulgaria Ltd. (ESD Bulgaria Ltd.) is a 100% private company, registered in March 1998 under the Trade Law of the Republic of Bulgaria. ESD-Bulgaria Ltd. operates mainly in energy efficiency (EE), GHG (green house gas) emission trading, CHP and Renewable Energy Sources (RES) as a consulting company and engages in the development and implementation of sustainable energy projects.
ESD Bulgaria Ltd. is a representative of the Camco which consists of three business segments: Asset Management, Consulting (ESD Bulgaria is one of Camco's consulting practices) and Ventures.

ESD Bulgaria Ltd. is the leading Bulgarian Sustainable Energy Company, which provides technical and consultancy assistance for identification and investment in development and implementation of Bulgarian energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for a number of municipalities and other local authorities in the country. The experts of ESD Bulgaria Ltd. have successfully carried out activities and acquired extensive experience under a number of international and nationally funded projects in the field of energy efficiency improvement, climate change mechanisms, renewable energy sources utilization, institution at building and capacity strengthening.
Since 1998, ESD Bulgaria has been the main contractor or has participated in more than 70 projects, 40 of them being international ones, funded by the PHARE, ALTENER, SAVE, the Fifth Framework Programme, Sixth Framework Programme, Intelligent Energy for Europe and the British Department for International Development (DFID), DEFRA - UK, Foreign and Commenwealth Office (FCO) - UK, Intelliegent Energy for Europe Programe, Austrian Energy Agency, SenterNovem-Netherlands, etc.
ESD Bulgaria is involved in developing JI (Joint Implementation) projects, and provides to its partners all the support necessary to identify and develop such projects. This includes identifying physical sites, identifying local partners to form joint ventures in order to develop and exploit these sites, negotiating the best financial arrangements for the potential investors, and monitoring and evaluating these investments on a technical and managerial basis.
ESD Bulgaria works with a range of organizations (local authorities, industries, financiers, and investors) active in the field of sustainable energy, implementation of demonstration projects, and development of commercial projects. More information you can find in the Partners section above.

• Computer based methodology for assessment of energy potential of RES, energy market structure and energy market potential and energy market penetration (bilingual version – English and Bulgarian);
• AREP-LP - computer model for assessment of theoretical and technical potential of RES on local level, including technical and economical assessment of the implementation of RE technologies and assessment of the saved CO2 emissions after the implementation of RE and etc. (bilingual version – English and Bulgarian).
